After one year of recordings, the new album finally is ready to be mixed. The album will have 10 tracks. The CD is being mixed by the producer of this album, the drumer Ricardo Confessori (ANGRA/SHAMAM).

"We have recorded 80% of the guitar tracks and 40% of the bass parts. We're still working on two news songs that we created during the recording process. "The style of professional recordings is a little bit cold and mechanic nowadays. But SANTAREM tried to bring a little of the atmosphere and the spirit of 70's back on track. We decided to record the drums in Sao Paulo country side, like Deep Purple that recorded the album Machine Head in a hotel, we brought everything from the studio to the farm of our producer Ricardo Confessori, we spent three days there. Ricardo is a long time friend of mine, we know the drums style of eachother very well and in the recording sessions break we sat in the drums and try new ideas and concepts for the songs togheter with the band ... A fantastic experience.

Technicaly we had an important distinguishing recording factor, the room had more than six meters of height and the echoes were very well recorded. We also had two "over" microphones placed five meters above the drums, it was nonsense! The sound of the drums and cymbals were very organic and heavy and it fit perfectly for my drumming and for SANTAREM style." - Agenor Vallone

RICARDO CONFESSORI WILL BE THE PRODUCER OF THE NEXT ALBUM

The production of the next SANTAREM album will be in charge of ANGRA/SHAMAN's drummer Ricardo Confessori. He will be responsible for the musical production, recording and mixing of the CD. "We are working on this new album for two years, and Ricardo is working with us for the last to months. Our objective is to make an organic and very powerfull album.", explains the guitarist Alex Andreoni.

The recordings will put together the most modern technologies of digital audio recording (Amp. Simulators, "in the box" sessions, etc) with great vintage techniques . The drums, for example, will be recorded in two rooms with more than six meters of height. The official recordings of the album will start at april,16.
